AMOS GIL from J Street and MOIEN ODEH, Palestinian Attorney
In light of the recent Israeli election and anticipated Palestinian voting in May, a conversation about the region’s present and future is particularly timely. We have two guest speakers who will share their perspectives during our next Adult Oneg on April 16, which falls the day after Yom HaAtzmaut.
Amos Gil of J Street, the Pro-Israel, Pro-Peace organization, will discuss the results and implications of the Israeli election on March 23. Amos became the Capital/South Regional Director of J Street after 30 years leading important intercultural and civil rights organizations in Israel, including the Jerusalem International YMCA and ACRI – The Association for Civil Rights in Israel, the county’s oldest and leading human rights group. We are very pleased that Moien Odeh will also join us for this Oneg and will comment on both the Israeli and Palestinian elections. Moien is a Palestinian human rights attorney who served as political advisor for diplomatic missions in Jerusalem and Ramallah. He is a member of Al-Shabaka, the Palestinian Policy Network. He is currently a PhD student at George Mason’s School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution.
